Welcome to Holy Week!

Each day we will provide videos and reflection questions to help you and your family prepare to celebrate Jesus’ resurrection on Easter Sunday.

STEP 1: Watch the video

STEP 2: Discuss the questions below

  • Questions:

    • Have you ever compromised a belief to gain something - like approval, convenience, or prosperity?

    • Have you ever held true to a belief despite the “promise” of gain?

    • Would you ever “sell out” on Christ if it promised you something - like financial gain, peer approval, or even sparing your life?

  • Parent can say: The fourth day of Holy Week is called “Holy Wednesday.” On Holy Wednesday, Jesus was anointed with oil by a woman named Mary.

Mary was the sister of Martha and Lazarus. To show her devotion and love for Jesus, she offered him an expensive present, worth a whole year’s wages! One of Jesus’ disciples, named Judas, was angry when this happened. He wanted to sell the oil and keep some of the money for himself. He didn’t love Jesus like Mary did. Judas, on the other hand, made plans to betray Jesus for 30 pieces of silver. Let’s watch our video together to learn more about how different Mary and Judas expressed their devotion to Jesus.
